Fishr is a technology that delivers a comprehensive brand strategy document on a business irrespective of its type, size, turnover, location or how long it has been in operating. Essentially, it takes the traditional methods of extracting information from a business representative relating to their brand (workshops etc) and compresses it down into one 45-minute interview.
The process is simple!
There are two stages to how Fishr creates its brand strategy decks.
Stage 1 – The Interview
A business representative is interviewed using our very specific set of questions, that we provide, as a guiding framework to the conversation. These questions should be answered by a representative of the business who understands the organisation very well. Typically, this would be the founder, CEO or someone very senior in management.
This interview must be recorded; therefore, it is recommended to be completed remotely using products like Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom (etc) however any system that allows a transcript to be generated from a conversation will work. So, it is perfectly OK to conduct the interview face to face and record the transcript using a phone. Video is not required to use the technology, just the transcript.
There are also few text fields that must be completed prior to uploading your transcript.
Once those fields are completed and the transcript is uploaded, you’re onto stage 2; simply hit ‘initiate assessment’ and in 30 minutes you’ll have a comprehensive brand strategy unique to the business just interviewed, ready for review.

Absolutely. Simply interview your clients using our specific questions, upload the transcript, fill out the text fields and submit. You’ll have the completed document in minutes. If you’ve opted for a subscription membership you can even edit the final document, tweak some of the colours and add your logo to really make it yours. Our Adhoc program does not allow you to do this, but you will be delivered the final PDF that you can edit using whatever software is available to you.
The final presentation is an editable PDF so you can edit parts of the copy if you want to. You can only do this with a paid membership subscription. Edit by clicking on the text and typing directly into the document. There are also parts of the assessment that require images to be uploaded to complete the page. We recommend you take the time to upload these images to ensure the experience is better.
It is strongly recommended that you read through the entire strategy prior to presenting to a client / business. You may want to edit some text, change a colour or upload an image to the ‘current brand’ section.
At the beginning of the document, there is a page that requires an image to be uploaded. This is a visual representation of the current state of the business. This is left blank to give you the opportunity to create something specific to the business, and to upload it prior to presenting. There are many different visuals that can be added here. Examples include logos, social media pages, website pages etc. You can also simply add a screen shot.
Yep. If you are part of our subscription membership, you can change the colour scheme, upload your logo and tweak the final document to make it more in line with your own brand guidelines.
Yes, with a caveat. Our questions are specifically engineered to allow Fishr to analyse and thus create its strategy. These are questions that should guide the conversation. It is absolutely to ask questions that allow the conversation to flow, even follow on from ours, but critically, answered to our questions must be given for the strategy to be created.
If you have a very detailed document containing a lot of information that closely matches the subject matter of our questions, feel free to upload that and see what comes back. Bear in mind that information in the final document might be different or even missing. You can edit the text directly within the final document if you are on a subscription. Basically, it is better to simply follow the interview process and upload that transcript. Also bear in mind that there is a cost associated with doing this.
We recommend you stick to our questions as the guiding framework.
The more detail, the more data. Try to coax your interviewee to give at least a few sentences per answer.
If you have some missing data, it is most likely due to the question not being answered with enough detail or not answered at all. Try logging out, re-logging in and re-uploading the transcript again. If there are small amounts of information missing, you can edit that within the final document. Alternatively, if the problem persists, log a ticket with our support team and we’ll look into it for you.
As a creative agency, if you have a subscription with us, a Fishr assessment will cost you $2,000 per strategy. There is no limit to how many Fishr assessments you can do over a period of time. If you do not wish to have an account with us, you can still use the system to create brand assessment reports at a cost of $2,500 per report. This is only available to creative agencies looking to partner with Fishr to deliver strategies to their clients.
If you are a business looking for a brand strategy, we can facilitate that process for you at a cost of $5,000 + gst for the interview and final presentation. You will receive the final strategy deck.
Payment must be made in full prior to the final presentation.
As a creative agency, you can access Fishr for $199 per month. Costs to access a completed brand assessment are then $2,000 per assessment. Your $199 subscription fee will automatically be deducted from a debit or credit card of your choosing on the same date each month. Any brand assessments will require payment in full to unlock the assessment.
Aside from the 20% discount (from $2,500 per report to $2,000) you will be given access to your own dashboard that will allow you to revisit previous brand assessments already completed. You also have the ability to white label the reports, edit the reports live in the browser and be a part of the Fishr community. Our partner program (to be released in 2026) will also only be available to subscribers.
Absolutely. You should. The information is very valuable to business owners and management teams. You can charge at your discretion to your clients.
We will keep all your reports on file for 30 days, after which they will be deleted. We recommend that you download all reports once they are completed.
Nope. You can leave any time.
Yes. None of our questions required to generate the strategy contains any sensitive information, we still understand that data protection is very important. All data is stored in a secured server environment in Melbourne and we do not share any information with anyone. It is linked to your account (if you have an account) and your account only. We do not, and will never, on sell, give away, or use any data for our own benefit.
Large portions of data we will use to help continue to improve how the technology assesses a business based on a multitude of factors. This information is not specific and anonymously used to identify trends and insights that will benefit the end outcome.
No, your assessments are linked to your account and can only be accessed through your dashboard. If you do not have an account, your assessments are not stored and will simply be emailed to you as a PDF when they are completed.
We use the AWS infrastructure to store all the information in a proprietary database built by us.
There are a few reasons why this could be the case. The first is that there might be a backlog of assessments being analysed. This can happen, but rest assured yours will be in the queue. Typically, you should allow for 30 minutes for your assessment to be completed. If takes longer and you’ve tried multiple times, reach out to support and we’ll look into it for you.
Also, please check that your own Internet connection is stable.
Absolutely not. We have a very clear overview of what assessments have been paid for and what have not. If you have gone through the process of payment and your assessment has not been delivered, please let us know via support.
We recommend a few days between the interview and the presentation. This gives the client time to prepare for the presentation without the process feeling rushed. It also gives you time to check over the assessment, make any edits you want to make and ensure its 100% before you present.
No. At this stage because of the way we’ve designed our decks to house the information, we are only providing the final presentation as a PDF.
This will be launched in 2026. Basically, it will provide our creative agency partners with access to leads, cheaper strategies, gifts and promotions. You’ll definitely want to be a part of it. Joining the program won’t cost anything extra, instead it will be contingent on the volume of strategies completed within a given time frame.
